"Creep n crawl" by Otis Mensah
[DISCLAIMER! I did not use spellcheck whilst writing these lyrics]
Verse 1:
The sun spills from my curtains, fix this loneliness another day, sift through states of mind and age, I'm shifting shapes, the crisis plays, over and over in my brain, oceans and novas syncopate, profits are grey like stockbrokers lay in shade, pipe dreams poke the eyes out off of a pokerface, fleeting false hopes disintegrate, the way they try and stop your bloom like bouquets in a suitcase, nostalgia lingers, stink the stain, like fellows that drunk their think away, a way to get a wink of sleep, or wavering the wind, a woe, windows are doors, when visions are flawed and afterlife's a blink away, when love lies your dinner plate, look deeper into the mundane.
I want hear rain patter on patios and how Mondays' the start of my future. Revere, breathe and every tune, whispered in solitude on nights of blues, every interim and every metonym given to the mighty moon, singing songs to stifle you, sounds that seraphim vs nephilim might cypher to.
Chorus:
Dance with me (oh) because I can see the future in the pass tense, tense, tense, tense. Keep with me (hey) because I can see the future makes me feel tense, tense, tense, tense,
They tell me not to worry bout the spider on the wall, the wall, oo-oh.
They tell me not to worry bout the spider on the wall, the wall, oo-oh
They tell me not to worry bout the spider on the wall, the wall, oo-oh
They tell me not to worry bout the spider on the wall, the wall, oo-oh
(I creep and I crawl, I rise and I fall, I'm thick in the fog, I'm sick of it all, for every predicament; digging up ditches and building up bridges, these fears enthral)
Verse 2:
Art mimics light life spins empty cobwebs as a warnings, plenty persona, ensuring, sentiment stored in my soul and pours on paper like fluid, pierce the page when I'm drawing, I simply miss new beginnings just like like the night mourns the morning, that's difference between o, r and o, u, protagonist like Goku, battles, the things go through, antagonists that draw you in like Druids just knock you down like home brew, this for the days that we never left the house like home-school. I'm building a castle and I'm digging a mote, I look into the water where the enemies float but I'm own worst enemy, I knew it, soaked, I can see my old house, what a sight to see sinking cuz what's inside me, mind weighed down by bad boned bricks that built years of walls, the spider in corner crawls, when we ignore, the ones that we adore, in front everyday, become impossible face, I sway in shade, I swear it's such a shame to say. Anomalies and oddities that take insane a shore like golden chariots take the saints away and plenty cobwebs in the doorways of the caves in my brain, bath waves, new beginnings for the brave, kind of strange, at the matinee I state;
I'm the biggest coward I've ever met, the most courageous man I've ever know, I guess depends on the day you meet me on like the actor's characters' on TV shows.
Chorus:
Dance with me (oh) because I can see the future in the pass tense, tense, tense, tense. Keep with me (hey) because I can see the future makes me feel tense, tense, tense, tense,
Poof
They tell me not to worry bout the spider on the wall, the wall, oo-oh.
They tell me not to worry bout the spider on the wall, the wall, oo-oh
They tell me not to worry bout the spider on the wall, the wall, oo-oh
They tell me not to worry bout the spider on the wall, the wall, oo-oh
Outro:
Don't allow the gruesome molecular of melancholy and hidden fears buried in the back of your cerebral creep their way in to your everyday and distort your perspective, your vision... Shoot them down on sight, you are the Sheriff of your own subconscious.
